Exploratorium 2017

April 6 | 5:30 - 7:30 | Pelham Middle School

The Pelham Education Foundation is once again sponsoring the Exploratorium on Thursday, April 6 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m in the Pelham Middle School. This year, the Exploratorium will showcase the many innovative, hands-on activities that students conduct on any given day in the Maker Spaces in each of our schools. The Maker Spaces were installed during the Summer of 2016, funded through the community’s donations to the Pelham Education Foundation. These exciting, state-of-the-art areas challenge our students to think outside of the box, create solutions to problems, answer a question, or just tinker for the fun of it!

The Pelham Education has also given grants to the music department, helping them purchase new instruments for students, take the students to workshops, and bring in guest conductors. The Friends of the Performing Arts (a fund within the PEF) helps underwrite the shows performed by the high school and middle school thespians. Lastly, in support of the Wellness Pillar of the district’s strategic plan, through your donations, the Pelham Education Foundation has brought mindfulness and yoga workshops to our students and teachers. Through out the evening, you’ll get to witness the positive results these grants have had on our students.

This evening will be fun for the whole family! Come eat some pizza, enjoy musical and theatrical performances by our high school students, and relax in the serene yoga studio. And don’t forget to let your family’s imagination run wild at the Maker Faire in the gym!
